Foundation Repair After A Horrible Earthquake

Your property is most at risk when there has been an earthquake in the area. I live in a city where there are quite a few earthquakes and they can be jarring. It is not great to live in a place where you have to be in such a situation. I can't really do much about that because I love the city and that is why I keep the property in check for as long as I can. It would be wise to get a professional to check if you need a foundation repair.

After the earthquake has taken place, I tend to call in a local service to have the foundation looked at. In the end, this is the main concern because if the foundation is not stable, you are going to be putting your life at risk.

You cannot stay in a property that is not as secure after an earthquake. You have to get the foundation repair specialist to look at the house and see how it is doing. If they have to make repairs then that is what they have
to do and you will have to pay them for it. I would never want to chance my luck here because you could have the roof cave in.

Prevent Foundation Repairs - Trees Should Be Far Enough Away From Your Home

Have you ever planted trees too close to your home? Perhaps you purchased a home where a tree was planted too close. My mom's home has a Sago Palm that has been right up near the front of the house, only a foot away, for years and years. Granted it's a Sago Palm, so even at near 40 years old, the tree is only four feet tall.

Still, trees should be at least 15 feet away from your home, and really you should give it several more feet than that. They take away from what a foundation needs to stay structurally sound, and then you wind up needing foundation repairs.
